THIS WEEK ON HARD ROCK NIGHTS
The Second Amendment will be the special theme on the next episode of HARD ROCK NIGHTS, airing July 23-29. Every song played will contain the word “gun” in the title. Some songs are pro-gun, others are anti-gun, and some are not about actual guns at all! From Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pride & Glory to Def Leppard and Dokken, HARD ROCK NIGHTS will bear its arms for two solid hours.

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

K-IRB ARTIST OF THE WEEK
Singer-songwriter and acclaimed guitarist John Mayer broke through with Room For Squares (2001), which was a massive commercial success. It has sold over four million copies in the US, and Mayer won a Grammy for “Your Body is a Wonderland”. He is also known as a blogger and occasional stand-up comedian.

Heavier Things (2003) cemented his reputation as one of America’s most popular new singer-songwriters, debuting at No.1 on its way to two-million more sales. “Daughters” earned him two more Grammys in 2005. Mayer became more interested in blues and formed the John Mayer Trio, who released a live album called Try! in 2005. His third album as a solo performer, Continuum (2006), earned Mayer two more Grammy Awards.

Away from music, Mayer has been kept in the media spotlight thanks to high-profile romances with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson. He also writes for Esquire magazine, and occasionally performs stand-up comedy.

CHECK OUT WHAT’S GOING ON AT K-IRB
The management at K-IRB have been working hard to bring you the best mix of rock and talk since 2005, and the trend continues!

First, we added new shows like The Blade and the Jersey Jerks Show. We changed the schedule and continuously add new music every month. And now, we introduce a new feature, every week here at K-IRB, the Artist of the Week, a feature that will spotlight one of the artists we’re currently airing.

WHO ARE THOSE JERKS?!?
On a cool Tuesday night in November, three good fellas banded together and formed a revolutionary entity. The Jersey Jerks Show was born on November 17, 2009 in a Southern New Jersey “studio”. Marco, Chris, & Fabio joined forces in creating a fresh new recipe composed of sarcasm mixed with a brash style of witty humor and a dash of raunchiness, cooked to a pod-cast perfection!

Since their inception, the Jerks have taken over on-line streaming by unleashing an “air-strike” on all new and unsuspecting listeners only to create an underground following that is vastly multiplying and projects to swarm across the web like a Swine Flu Virus to the ears……highly contagious.

This weekend, they join the K-IRB family. Check out The Jersey Jerks Show every Sunday night starting at 6pm Eastern!

THE HOUSEMAN RETURNS!!!
The Houseman, former host of Rockin’ Renegade Radio, is back with a new show called The Blade, which features a great mix of new rock and unsigned artists. Check out The Blade every Saturday starting at 3pm Eastern!

On that note, The 80s Rockshow has a new home Monday Nights starting at 9pm Eastern, right after Easties’ Pub Quiz. Click here to check out all the new changes to the schedule.

We’re still committed to rock and talk, with shows like the Wreckless Media and the Radio X show both staying on our roster, as well as the best mix of rock from the 60s through today, including new music first from artists like Against Me!, Band of Horses, Five Finger Death Punch, Green Day, Korn, Neon Trees… you get the picture, right?

It’s the best mix of rock… and requests… and talk… we’re The Internet’s F’n Rock Station… K-IRB
